Qatar Nationalday 2025

Qatar National Day (اليوم الوطني لقطر, Al-Yawm al-Waṭani li-Qaṭar) is a national commemoration of Qatar’s unification in 1878, celebrated annually on 18 December. Established by a decree on 21 June 2007 by then Crown Prince and Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the day is also known as Founder’s Day, honoring Sheikh Jassim Bin Mohammed Bin Thani as the father and founder of the State of Qatar.

The holiday serves as an occasion to reflect on Qatar’s history, identity, and the contributions of those who have shaped and continue to build the nation. It is a day of unity for the people of Qatar.
