Egypt celebrated its national day with a large and generous garden party with national food, and hibiscus and lemon mint lemonade. The entire diplomatic corps plus Minister Ebba Busch present in Stockholm, with many Swedish Egypt connoisseurs gathered at Egypt’s residence in the magnificent Djursholm outside Stockholm.

Revolution Day refers to the public holiday in Egypt on 23 July, the anniversary of the Egyptian Revolution of 1952 which led to the declaration of the modern republic of Egypt, ending the period of the Kingdom of Egypt. This year marks the 84th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Sweden and Egypt. See Cawa Media’s photos from July 21, 2023.
