The 68^th Malaysia Independence Day (National Day) was observed on 31 August 2025. This day holds significant importance as a public holiday, marked by official and unofficial ceremonies and observances across the country.

On the Occasion of Malaysia’s 68th National Day The Ambassador of Malaysia H.E Sarimah Akbar requested the pleasure of the company of Mr Peter Lulle Johansson (Cawa Media) at a reception on Monday, 25th of August 2025. The Ambassador of Malaysia H.E Sarimah Akbar proudly announced that next year Malaysia will become Asia’s Cultural Country in 2026 with the slogan ”Malaysia Truly Asia” After speeches and honors, a delicious Malaysian buffé was served. The ambassador had cooked all the chicken dishes for all the guests herself, and it was very tasty.

Malaysia was celebrating 68 years of independence this year on August 31, 2025 and soon after, Malaysia Day on September 16, 2025. Both days are significant for Malaysia and her citizens, as August 31 marks independence from colonial rule, while on September 16 marks the date when the peninsular states of Malaya merged with Sabah, Sarawak and Singapore to form Malaysia in 1963.
