International Philanthropic Society of Stockholm – Kosovo event

The International Philanthropic Society, in collaboration with Her Excellency Mrs. Shkendije Geci Sherifi, the Ambassador of Kosovo (Honorary Member), cordially invited us to a reception in support of a significant cause. Friday, May 16, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM, at Brahegatan with Mrs. Kanthi S. Beck, Östermalm.
IPS where honoured to welcome Dr. Feride Rushiti, the founder and Executive Director of the Kosovo Rehabilitation Centre for Torture. Victims (KRCT), as our esteemed Guest of honour. Dr. Rushiti and KRCT have been recently nominated for the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize by Swedish MP Mr. Magnus Jakobsson.
A buffet dinner with Flia or flija what is an Albanian dish typical of northern Albania and of the cuisine of Kosovo. It consists of multiple crêpe-like layers brushed with cream and served with sour cream and butter. The name translates to ”sacrifice” (see fli). Flia is prepared in the shape of the Sun (Albanian Dielli) also featuring sunbeams. Kosovo wines was served, along with a mini concert with singer Charlotta Huldt-Ramberg for your entertainment.

The International Philanthropic Society of Stockholm was founded with the support of Stockholm’s international, diplomatic, and Swedish communities. In 2013, it was registered as a non-profit, non-political, and non-religious organisation. (Organization number 802472 – 4331) The society was inaugurated by the French Ambassador, H.E. Mr. Jean Pierre LaCroix. IPS was established to support the most vulnerable children and women in need locally and internationally.
