Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Kingdom of Sweden

The Friendship Group of the Swedish Parliament for Central Asia was pleased to invite us to a seminar/panel discussion on business opportunities in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan on June 13 at the Swedish Riksdag from 13.00 to 15.00 hours (the old First Chamber).

The event did bring together members of various Riksdag committees, representatives of Swedish ministries, agencies, renowned companies and businesses, Ambassadors of Sweden to Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. The seminar did also include presentations on Uzbekistan’s and Kazakhstan’s investment potential, followed by panel discussion with Chamber of
Commerce, Swedish Institute of International Affairs, participating companies and officials on existing opportunities for doing business in that countries.

The representative of the State Assets Agency of Uzbekistan made a presentation on the strategic companies being privatized in the republic. The seminar was concluded by a reception with a small taste of local Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan traditional food at Riksdag’s Mittpoolen on behalf of the Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan Embassies. The Swedish Riksdag was delighted to see us at this event alongside representatives of companies, responsible for Central Asian region, to explore mutually beneficial areas of collaboration and opportunities to expand our businesses in Central Asia.
