Speakers: Dr. Laila Fathi, Ms. Marianne Laanatza and Mr. Badr Ikken, Pr. Salim Belyazid
The association “Friends of Moroccan Judaism A.J.M. non-profit, was created in 2016 by a group of Moroccan Jewish and Muslim citizens driven by the duty of memory towards a Moroccan Jewish community two thousand years old, today practically disappeared on the national territory.
This association works for the preservation of the material and immaterial Moroccan Jewish heritage. The AJM invests in actions promoting intercultural sharing and better living together. It strives to make known to Moroccans today, in Morocco and abroad, the Judeo-Moroccan culture and its place in national history.
Promoting the image of a modern, multicultural, tolerant Morocco is also one of its objectives.
Previously called A.A.M.J.M. (Association of Friends of the Judeo-Moroccan Museum), the AJM continues its activities in line with the action undertaken by the late Simon Lévy.
