On May 22, 2026, the Moroccan Ambassador Karim Medrek hosted an Evening in cooperation with the International Philanthropic Society of Stockholm (IPS) at his residence in Stockholm. The event celebrated the cherished traditions of Moroccan food, offering guests a unique opportunity to experience Moroccan culture through engaging presentations, traditional music, and authentic home made Moroccan cuisine. A Swedish folklore group who performed in Marrakech, Morocco last year, was invided for performing Swedish folklore music and dance this evening.

More importantly, the evening served a meaningful purpose—supporting children in need. The contributions made during the event by raffle tickets were donated to The Childhood Foundation, founded by Her Majesty Queen Silvia. The winner won a voucher fot 3 nights stay for 2 people including flight tickets to Morocco in a 5 star hotel in Marrakech.
